How to read the Top 100 and the Top 1,000 tier
The difference between an exact ranking, a popularity tier, and a momentum indicator for domains observed in Romania.
A Top 100 ranking and a Top 1,000 tier answer different questions. The Top 100 provides an exact order for popular domains within a period and geography. The Top 1,000 tier only confirms that a web origin belongs to that popularity group; it cannot reveal an individual position between 101 and 1,000.
What the Top 100 represents
Cloudflare Radar publishes a popular-domain ranking calculated from aggregated and anonymized DNS signals. For Romania, the first 100 domains can be displayed in exact order. A rank is a relative position in that dataset, not a count of visits, unique visitors, or Analytics sessions.
GrowthAcceleration.ro uses the “Position” column only for this exact set. Rank change describes movement within the ranking and is not presented as a percentage change in traffic.
What the Top 1,000 tier represents
The Chrome UX Report groups web origins into popularity tiers. A value of 1,000 means membership in the group of the 1,000 most popular origins in the national dataset. It does not mean position 1,000 or provide an exact order within the group.
CrUX works with origins such as https://www.example.ro, while the public page groups variants of the same property under their registrable domain. The number of distinct domains can therefore be lower than the number of origins included in the tier.
How to interpret Momentum Score
Momentum Score combines recent rank movement, persistence of the signal, and, where available, movement between monthly CrUX tiers. It compares domains inside the observed dataset and does not estimate absolute traffic volumes.
The score is unavailable when there is not enough history. GrowthAcceleration.ro never replaces missing evidence with zero and never extrapolates an exact position from a popularity tier.
Why Web Experience is separate
Web Experience Score summarizes the share of experiences rated good for LCP, INP, and CLS in the available CrUX data. It describes observed web experience quality, not domain popularity. A site may show strong momentum and modest technical experience, or the reverse.
The reading rule
Use the Top 100 for exact position, the Top 1,000 for tier membership, Momentum for signal direction, and Web Experience for experience quality. None of these indicators represents Analytics traffic or commercial performance.
